Not much to report

Hi Guy's,

I have been real busy of late with family life, so model work has been real slow. I have had to return to work which real sucks and working as a Labourer really does take it's toll on me. But in order to stay living here on the beautiful north coast I guess you have to take what you can get. The cost of living at the moment is just insane. We are battling a bit and my modelling is suffering due to that. Sometimes it is hard just to find the money just  to top up on paint and detailing parts to finish little jobs. ATM am trying to scratch enough money together this weekend to get to the Epping Show in Sydney but the frustrating part about this is that even if I get there, I won't be able to buy anything which really sucks! Enough of my gripes. Into some modelling.

One of my favourite weathering jobs which I did about 5 years ago was for my mate Greg Riddel. I have weathered up also his Trainorama 44 class loco's over the last 10 years or so but 4432 was my best effort. I borrowed it back off him the other day so I could take a couple of High Key photo's of it. When I originally weathered it I wasn't the best at High Key Photography so I thought to get some good shot of 4432 now.

Here is a shot of it in Action shot on Greg Riddels Beyond Bulliac Module as it sits in the loop on 6382 empty steel as 8002 passes on a down freighter.

A few other projects that I have been working on.

I added some detail and lightly weathered some Austrains QRN CLP's and X class loco's. One this CLP I added sanding boxes to the Bogies, I covered in the grills over the Hep Units and also the covered the original sanding hatches. On the X class units I added ditch lights, GPS and A/C details.

This is an Auscision N class that I have been modifying the paint on to the original Cheeseburger colour scheme.

On the Subject of Auscision, they send me a pack of the new N cars to have a play with. I would say these are on the water so they should be available soon. Here is a couple of quick shots before I attack them with some weathering.

Anyway that is all I have to report atm.

Cheers Justin Moy

Some Wingham Photo's and model shots

Hi Guy's,

Just finished taking some shots on the great Wingham Layout. I really enjoy getting models to a point where I can take some shots of them in Action. So here is some shots

The Taree yard Shunter heads into Wingham with an NLKY wagon for the Good Shed. I the background is the Butter Factory and a horse going about it's business. 7320 is an Auscision pre-production model that I was allowed to have a play with. These will be available very soon

This Train is a bit lost. It is modelled on a Canberra Express with a pre-production Auscision 42211 on the lead and some of my Silvernmaz RUB's and a HUB car with a Scaleways PHN at the rear. The HUB car is a kit bash from a Silvermaz RUB. As this train is passing through Wingham I would say it is a little lost.

Another lost train. This time a southern wheatie passing through Wingham. These are some of the other Auscision Pre-Production Samples that I have been working on. These are unpowered which is a pity. They will most likely end up in Auscisions display case at their shop. No sure if it is open yet but if not will be soon. This is the first time I have had my set of Auscision Wheat Hoppers out for a run. They don't look too bad behind 42212/42205.

7335/7320 shunting Wingham Yard

42205 works a RUB Set over Cedar Party Creek at Wingham with the North Coast Daylight Express. For some reason it has an Auscision 42205 leading this train. All the Rail Photographers of the day must of missed that one? The RUB set is Silvermaz that I build for Noel Sawyer a couple of years ago.

So here is some of the shots I took of these models as I was working of them and complete

7335 in pieces in readiness for weathering. I did a mask so that I could respray the Candy Red to fade it a little. Also the chassis was masked ready to weather.

The first mask on the 422's and some mask work on the tuscan 73 class.

Another mask on the tuscan 422 on also a 42 class that I have been working on. More about it later.

Some shots of the finished product

A little to report

Hi Guy's

It has been a little while since my last post. I haven't been able to upload photo's for some reason. It seems to have come good so here we go. I have just built my last wall for my train room which is good. still a bit to do, but there is progress. So soon I amybe able to start on building my Layout that will incorperate the name sake of this blog (Killawarra). Here is a plan that I have drawn up at this stage

I will talk more about this plan when things progress.

Mean While I have been doing a bit of modelling mostly for others. I have lots to work on but here is a couple of models worth noting.

This AHGX is a project for Auscision. I repainted the Green on this to fade it a bit. I have also use some Uncle Ben's Weathering Pigments also. I may start to use these a bit more in the future mostly to highlight the work I have done with an Air Brush.

Before

During

After

This is another little job for Auscision, Weathering up and photographing some of their pre-production samples. This is the first one that I have done and I must say these loco's are done real well. Again of this one I faded the tuscan a bit but I paid attention to showing all the great Chassis and Bogie detail.

I just got a couple of these to play with and I am looking forward to attacking these. I had removed the couplers on this one before I took this photo, but they look real nice. Auscision should be commended for their work on these. More updates as they come.

Just a couple more random shots of some stuff over the last month or so

This one is on Ebay atm. I really like weathering this scheme

A couple of CLF's I weathered up for a friend

42212 in Action of Wingham on Greg Riddels empty steal train. It is one from the never never but looks good just the same.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Guy's

There is not much to report on the modelling front. I haven't been real well with a cast of Glandular Fever. I had a go at weathering one of my Trainorama NVMF's. I have another one and about 20 lined up by my friends for weathering so this one was a bit of a test.

Auscision send me some stuff the other day to photograph and weather for their Web Site. Some Pre-Production stuff was included which looks real good. Here is some shots of the 422 Samples.

I have a S016 Grain Silo to photograph so I am going to make a small Diarama to present it. It is only in the planning stage atm

A shot to finish off. A train that is a little bit lost

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

8002 in Action

Hi Guy's,

After doing lots of work to a model, my favourite thing is to then get some photographs of it in Action. So here is some shots of my Super Detailed Austrains 80 class in Action on the Wingham Layout house at the Taree & District Model Railway Club inc

8002 pauses at Wingham to change the staff with 6235 express frieght as 8035 looks on after a failure earlier in the day

While 8002 sits at the platform with 6235 express frieght, 4485/4499 take the loop with 6382 empty steel

8002 approaches Wingham with 6372 frieght

8002 crosses Cedar Party Creek as it approaches Wingham with 6372 frieght

8002 shunts Wingham Yard and is about to collect 8035 which had failed the previous day

Another angle of it shunting
